There are currently 33M+ active small businesses in the US alone.

80% of those are 1 person businesses. That’s 26M+ 1 person micro-businesses who could probably use a little more tech help or even a fractional employee.

We created DevShares to make it easy to find + split creative and technology costs with others who have similar needs - whether it’s a project, an idea or a position you need to hire for.

Currently, we’ve created 2 core features to help people truly leverage each other:

1. DevShares Listings - where people can post all the Creative, Dev and Tech related tasks, projects and job positions they need - and then find others with the same or similar needs to split costs with. ie. 2 Catering Businesses needing a Mobile App with Ordering integrated into their POS or Payment System - both paying $2500 each instead of $5k each alone.

2. DevShares Managed Services - where we’ll basically do all the tedious, crappy work for people and businesses that Developers, Creatives and VAs don’t want to do because it distracts away from higher paying projects.

Ironically, this, in and of itself is the ultimate DevShare - because what we’re essentially doing is saying we’ll get, hire, train, manage and oversee the entire staff of workers who will do this necessary work. But, it’s everybody else’s combined purchasing of Task/Request Credits that allow us to even fund the whole operation.

3. DevShares Shared Staff - is a service where you can hire someone, like a Freelancer, Developer, Designer or Specialist basically part-time - but, where they are essentially staff of DevShares, so that we can fill up the rest of their weekly desired hours with other DevShares Member-Clients. Not many Small Businesses or Mom & Pops can afford an additional full-time employee and most don’t need just one more person - they tend to need 4 more people with different skills for an average of 10 hours per week. This is a step above just being a “gig” economy because it allows DevShares to cross-train backups for you, offer these workers sick and vacation time - and yet, still give them the kind of schedule and total hours per week flexibility that a traditional job won’t. Basically giving you a way more reliable worker.

So basically, with just a little bit of organization and creating a good system (and platform, like DevShares.com) to help manage and faciliate it all DevShares is able to masterfully help solve so many tech-related challenges for millions of Small Businesses, Startups, Mom & Pops and one-person operations everywhere.
